PFLAG - SGV API Group Guidelines
Our support group focuses on coming-out issues and relationships with family and friends. We are here to support and educate one another, but our facilitators are NOT trained professionals. As this is not a therapy group, people who need to deal with deeper issues are advised to seek out professional help.
To create a comfortable, safe, and supportive environment, we adhere to the following guidelines at every meeting: 1. Confidentiality of what is shared in group, including identity. 2. Share only personal experiences, thoughts, and feelings. 3. Be respectful of one another's feelings and thoughts. 4. Do not monopolize the discussion. 5. No use of profanity. Be mindful of having age appropriate discussions when children are present. 6. Stay on topic. |
